The Global Wellness Summit (GWS) 2024 is scheduled for the 4th to the 7th of November at the Old Course Hotel in St Andrews, Scotland, with the theme “A Watershed Moment for Wellness”. The event will explore the wellness industry’s growth and evolution, focusing on various sectors including fitness, mental wellness, wellness tourism, and more.
A major focus of the summit will be the emerging “H2O Experience Economy,” highlighting the resurgence of water-based therapies and innovative hydrothermal approaches. Discussions will cover topics such as urban bathhouses, sauna centres, and water-wellness parks, as well as the revitalisation of hot springs destinations worldwide.
The summit will also address the impact of climate change on global water resources and the wellness industry’s role in sustainability. Experts will discuss ways to minimise the environmental impact of water-intensive practices in spas and wellness tourism and explore the industry’s contribution to the “blue economy”.
