The House of Lords has commissioned an enquiry to look critically at the current curriculum and assessment model. The enquiry aims to explore whether the current secondary system is preparing young people for job opportunities in the future. The advent of new digital and green economy jobs is at the forefront of the enquiry.
The inquiry will consider the challenges and opportunities faced by the current secondary education system in England. What will be important is to make sure that in line with gaining national qualifications, students are engaging in physical activity in a way that can enhance their grades and improve their wellbeing.
The public call for evidence to be submitted to the Committee was on April 30th.
