A new initiative will put £1.5 million into “retooling” the sports and activity sector. ReTrain, funded by The National Lottery through Sport England, will support employers with free training for new and existing staff.
The sector has been heavily affected by the pandemic and as CIMSPA indicated in their survey, 6% of people (30,000) are planning to leave the sector.
The initiative will focus on supporting employers to continue providing valuable services through training and to tackle social deprivation in their respective areas.
All training will be delivered by an accredited CIMSPA Training Provider and participants will be CIMSPA qualified.
Employer partners of CIMSPA, CLUK and ukactive, with sites in England, are invited to identify the skills gaps within your workforce and apply for the free training.
