A new collaboration will create a Physical Literacy Assessment Tool for use in community and sports settings in England. Sport England and the London Marathon are working with the University of Bradford and want to hear from practitioners in education and community sport to find out how to make the tool feasible.
They’re calling for current users and facilitators to detail the barriers to using the tool and their thoughts on its feasibility. Currently, the tool needs to be accurate, valid and reliable as well as offer a group of children (around 30) simultaneous use of the tool.
The larger aim is to gather population-level insights into the physical literacy of children and young people. The online survey is open until the 26th of May.
