Sport England announced last month that the Small Grants Programme is open this year. They had originally been on hiatus as they launched the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund in 2022. This year, awards are set to be 50% larger than before, with maximum grants totalling £15,000 for communities across the UK.
The aim of the Small Grants programme is to tackle those communities that have traditionally been inactive. The programme will therefore prioritise projects that focus on environmental sustainability, connect their communities, and have the biggest impact on disadvantaged people.
Applications can be made for awards from £300 to £15,000. Multiple applications are permitted, but there are no awards that can be given totalling more than £15,000 in any 12-month period.
The closing date for applications to the programme is 30th June.
