The government has released a new Disability Action Plan aimed at enhancing the lives of disabled individuals in England. Tim Hollingsworth, the chief executive of Sport England, praised the plan as a significant step towards addressing inequality and removing barriers faced by disabled people.
While acknowledging that there is no instant solution to all challenges, he highlighted the plan’s importance in advancing equality. Sport England has invested a significant amount of funding to support projects that promote physical activity and address inequalities.
The focus has been on creating conditions for change at a local level to combat inactivity and associated disparities.
