Sport & Recreation Alliance partner, the V4V Project, has launched a survey aiming to learn more about the volunteer workforce in the sport and activities sector. The survey, which is the first of its kind to take a deeper look at volunteers in the sector, will be available across Europe.
The survey is available in 18 European languages and offers an opportunity to look at a broad range of sports organisations and respondents. Anything from grassroots clubs to sports federations and beyond will be eligible to take the survey. The aim of this survey is to find out how the sector recruits, trains, and manages volunteers.
Some of the areas the survey will cover are:
- Necessary skills and possible upskilling
- The roles volunteers play in sports organisations
- The challenges sports organisations face in volunteering
- Any possible solutions to issues in volunteering
