Birmingham 2022 continues to secure partners for the games taking place this summer. This month, they secured sponsorship deals with BMet, Microplus, Domestic & General (D&G), and Aston University.
The new sponsors will be offering a mixture of product and resource support for the Commonwealth Games. The aim is to provide greater visibility and investment for the West Midlands. Aston’s postgraduate business and management students, for example, have been tasked with developing ideas for a long-last legacy for Birmingham.
BMet, the area’s largest provider of further education in the area, will provide space for training more than 13,000 games volunteers. Additionally, Domestic & General (D&G) will become the games’ official warranty provider. With the games set to open Birmingham up to the world, planning has centred around creating a sustainable, sporting legacy for the city and its surrounding area.
