Celebrating the Winners of the Active 50 Awards 2024/25

The Active 50 Awards for 2024/25 have officially come to a close. The Active 50 Awards aim to celebrate the organisations across the UK making a real impact in children’s activities. With thousands of public votes submitted and the help of an expert judging panel, these awards recognise excellence in performing arts, sports provision, and charitable programmes.

Each of the winning organisations has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to supporting children and young people through engaging, inclusive, and inspiring activity programmes.

 

Performing Arts

1st – Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts Newcastle

PQA Newcastle offers weekend classes in acting, musical theatre, and filmmaking, helping children develop skills, confidence, and creativity.

2nd – Feel the Rhythm School of Dance

Based in Kings Norton, Feel the Rhythm provides classes in freestyle, hip hop, tap, Latin American, and musical theatre, combining performance with personal development.

3rd – Stagecoach Theatre Arts Norwich

Stagecoach Norwich supports young people through singing, acting, and dance, helping them build confidence and essential life skills.

Sports Providers

1st – Youth Dreams Project Cambridge

YDP delivers fun, engaging and inclusive programmes that support children’s growth, development and wellbeing through sport.

2nd – Platform Sports Coaching

One of Surrey’s leading sports education providers, Platform Sports Coaching works with schools and communities to deliver high-quality physical activity sessions.

3rd – Fisical Sports Coaching

Operating across Bradford and Leeds, Fisical Sports Coaching offers tailored sessions in schools and holiday camps, helping children build skills and confidence.

Charity Providers

1st – Gateshead Football Club Foundation

The Gateshead FC Foundation uses the power of sport to deliver education, employability, health and inclusion programmes that support local communities.

2nd – Birmingham City FC Foundation

Through the strength of the BCFC brand, this Foundation delivers opportunities that promote inclusion, engagement and positive change across the region.

3rd – YoungStars Community Hub

YoungStars creates safe, inclusive spaces for children to learn, play and grow through fun, interactive activities that support development and wellbeing.
