Youth Sport Trust has announced a three-year partnership with Sports apparel provider Sports Direct. The partnership aims to remove the barriers to sports and play for children across the country.
Sports Direct has decided to support the charity with free-to-access content and tools to help families play together. It will help young people from underserved and disadvantaged communities and support schools with the best value equipment and kit for PE and school sport.
The announcement came during Youth Sport Trust’s annual awareness campaign National Sports Week. Sports Direct and Youth Sport Trust have welcomed the return of Sports Slam, a children’s fitness initiative to encourage children aged 7-11 to participate in at least 60 minutes of activity.
For National Sports Week, Sports Slam will gather schools and athletes to get children back into sports.
