CIMSPA is looking for businesses in the sport and physical activity sector to help develop the definition of the sector.
Regular misrepresentation and differing views within and outside the sector has driven the campaign and most notably from the ongoing oversights in the government’s guidance regarding the sector and when analysing the effects of Covid-19.
Phill Wright, Business Transformation Manager at CIMSPA said:
“Defining who we are and how we operate as a sector is vital for us to get the recognition that we both want and deserve. Amongst many other things, 2020 has demonstrated that at a government level, sport and physical activity is not clearly understood and this piece of work is the first step in correcting that.”
