David Minton, the founder of The Leisure Database Company, an independent specialist in market intelligence in the fitness sector, has launched a new one-day conference around climate change action in the health and fitness sector.
The Evolve conference, set to take place on the 22nd of this month, has been organised in partnership with author Daniel Lieberman and business psychologist Robert Kovach. The role of the conference will be to look at a decarbonisation plan for the sector where David Minton added there is no current pledge.
“Given the urgent need to reduce demand for energy across the economy, the leisure and activity sector needs a decarbonisation plan with a deadline. Currently, we have no pledges to deliver this.”
In an article written earlier this month, Minton announced the event and his own impression of how the public sees climate change. He argued that people are now more likely to see the future of the planet and their health at the centre of their experience of the future.
