The finalists for the much-awaited ukactive Awards 2022 have now been announced. The awards, which will be taking place in Birmingham this month, will be held in partnership with Active IQ and will follow the Active Uprising Conference. After two years in Manchester, the awards’ new venue will be the International Convention Centre in Birmingham on the 30th of June.
The shortlist covers a wide range of organisations from ukactive’s memberships. Many of the finalists have worked to reopen after lockdowns, having been instrumental in rebuilding the sector over the past year. It includes fitness and leisure operators, local councils, prominent suppliers, leading universities, sports bodies, and charities. CEO of ukactive Huw Edwards added his praise for the finalists:
“We are delighted but not surprised by the number of incredible entries and stories we have received for this year’s ukactive Awards, which is testament to the unquestionable resilience and innovation within our sector.”
