Drowning Prevention Week is on its way and is shaping up to be one of the largest summer water safety campaigns across the UK & Ireland. The campaign aims to raise awareness of water safety and how the public can be safer around water for a summer outdoors.
From the 17th to the 24th of June, organisations, including The Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), will be encouraging the public to enjoy the water safely. Easy ways to get involved include sharing the message online and running activities with local leisure centres or pools.
If you’re an educator, you can access RLSS thematic lessons available for 5 to 11-year-olds.
