Last month, National Fitness Day saw ukactive team up with Endurance Zone to launch their first-ever National Fitness Day app. The Fitness Day Rewards App was launched on the 8th of September, with the aim of helping maintain participant motivation.

The app functionality saw users being able to connect wearable fitness devices to track their activity levels. Participants could accumulate points for every minute of physical activity they did, as well as compete for prizes from leading lifestyle and fitness brands like Les Mills, Headspace, and Brooks Running.

On the 20th of September, thousands of people across the country took part in free activities in gyms, leisure centres, swimming pools, schools and much more. Launched in Salford Sports Village in Greater Manchester participants took part in the Prehab4Cancer programme, to bring in the event.

David Birch, CEO and Founder at Endurance Zone said:

“National Fitness Day is a vitally important campaign and we’re proud to support it by doing what we do best, creating rewarding experiences that engage and drive positive action. Creating the Fitness Day Rewards app has been incredibly gratifying for everyone at Endurance Zone and it’s fantastic to now see it live and ready to motivate the nation!”
