Nominations open for Community Sport and Recreation Awards

The Community Sport and Recreation Awards: Youth Edition 2025 is a special one-time event launched by the Sport and Recreation Alliance to celebrate their 90th anniversary. This unique awards programme aims to recognise and honour the outstanding contributions of young people aged 18-30 in the sport and recreation sector.

The awards have nine distinct categories including:

  1. Young Coach of the Year
  2. Young Advocate of the Year
  3. Young Community Champion of the Year
  4. Young Sustainability Innovator of the Year
  5. Young Inclusivity Champion
  6. Young Fundraiser of the Year
  7. Young Sports Official of the Year
  8. Young Entrepreneur of the Year
  9. Young STEM Award

 

These categories are designed to showcase the diverse ways young people are making an impact in sports and recreation, from coaching and advocacy to sustainability and inclusivity.

Nominations for the awards are open until the 12th of February 2025. The programme serves as a platform to celebrate the talent, dedication, and leadership of young individuals who are shaping the future of sport and recreation. It provides an opportunity for sports clubs, schools, community organisations, and individuals to recognise the efforts of inspiring young people in the field.
