Sports Wales has reopened the Sports Freelancer Fund to help support self-employed people working in sports or activities badly affected by Covid-19.
The fund, worth £2,500, is open to instructors, personal trainers, coaches and any other self-employed freelance workers delivering sports activities in Wales.
The grant which is now £1,000 more than the initial grant in November, is meant to go some way to cover the loss of income from cancellations and restrictions due to the crisis.
The fund is part of a pot of 14 million allocated by the Welsh government to Sport Wales, for the sport and leisure sectors recovery. It aims to prioritise hundreds of people that received no financial support during the pandemic.
Any successful applicants from the previous round will be offered an extra £1,000 to be in line with the current fund. Criteria for eligibility has also been widened to ensure as many applications as possible.
Applications must be submitted by Wednesday 3rd February by 12 noon.
Guidance on eligibility and more information on how to apply can be found here.
