After a three-year hiatus, the Big School Swim is returning to England’s primary schools. The nationwide celebration will take place from the 14th to the 18th of November to encourage children to get into the water and improve their swimming skills.
Now that safety regulations due to the pandemic have been lifted, primary schools are encouraged to sign up and get involved. The last time it took place in 2019, more than 70,000 pupils from an amazing 5,733 schools participated.
Teachers across the country are being encouraged to sign their schools up for the event to help show children how they can be and should be safe in and around water.
