In an effort to open tennis up to people of all backgrounds, the LTA has launched a new diversity and inclusion advisory group. The board-level advisory group is made up of 8 external experts, who will be central to the organisation’s Inclusion Strategy.

The Inclusion and Diversity Advisory Group (IDAG) will be chaired by Rachel Bailache, the inclusion lead. The group will also include Barry Horne, CEO of Access Sport and a previous guest on The Drive Phase podcast, joined by LTA board member and Chair of Kick it Out, Sanjay Bhandari, and Funke Awoderu, senior inclusion and diversity manager at the FA.

The group will establish an external perspective on the LTA’s current Inclusion Strategy. The aim is to provide best practice areas designed to make the LTA more inclusive.

Rachel Baillache said:

“When we launched our 2019 – 2023 Vision – Tennis Opened Up – we placed inclusion firmly at its heart…

“I, for one, am looking forward to seeing the contribution this group can make with its broad range of knowledge, experience and expertise as we continue to open up our sport.”
