Sport England has now confirmed 120 organisations as their systems partners. Among them is Coordinate Sport’s strategic partner, ukactive and children’s charity Youth Sport Trust. Sport England’s systems partners aim to use their investment and personal expertise to collaborate on nationwide goals for physical activity, health, and wellbeing.
Youth Sport Trust will be co-delivering Sport England’s 10-year Uniting the Movement strategy. A combination of government and National Lottery funding from Sport England will target groups that are typically less active, such as women, disabled people and ethnic minorities.
Ukactive will be collaborating with Sport England on its existing aims, including its work on digital transformation, inclusion, infrastructure and quality standards. Sport England will be investing £5.25m in ukactive’s growth and development strategy over the next five years to support members in creating inclusive and accessible facilities nationwide.
Into the future, both organisations are committed to improving infrastructure and education amongst their stakeholders as to the importance of physical activity and fitness. As part of Sport England’s 10-year strategy, clarity of standards, accessibility and inclusion remain high on the list of goals into the new decade.
