StreetGames reported a decrease in happiness levels among young people, with children from low-income families being the most affected. According to a Sport England survey, children and young people from low-affluence households have shown a decrease in life satisfaction and feeling worthwhile, in contrast to those from high-affluence households.

The activity gap between children from the least affluent families and those from the most affluent has also been highlighted, with the former being less likely to have positive attitudes towards sport and physical activity.

StreetGames aims to transform the lives of young people living in low-income, underserved communities through sport and physical activity, believing that access to sport and its benefits is a right for all young people, regardless of their background or financial situation.
