Breaking Limits, a new programme, is being launched to help young people overcome mental and physical barriers and equip them to be more confident and active.
Rexona, known as Sure in the UK and Beyond Sport, a social change leader, will be partnering to administer the programme, launched on the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.
The research carried out by Rexona, has found that self-doubt and motivation are key factors that almost 2/3rds of people struggle with when considering getting active.
The impact that physical activity can have on concentration, wellbeing and health, so Rexona has also joined forces with local sport for development organisations to give young people the chance to move.
The Breaking Limits Programme will aim to equip young people with confidence, teamwork and resilience as well as empowering community leaders and coaches.
The brand is creating a digital training series designed to train community leaders and coaches so they can further empower young people to get moving and increase their confidence in themselves. Global Vice President of Rexona, part of the brand Unilever’s holdings added:
“We’re committed to using our scale to do more good. We need to ensure that everyone, regardless of race, gender or perceived ability, truly has the right they deserve to be physically active.”
